Debt Management Plans

Our Credit Counseling Service should not be confused with other debt counseling services that might charge as much as $50.00-$250.00 per month for their services.  The Debt Management Plan (DMP), is not a loan, but a way to repay the groups to which you owe money.

There is a one-time set-up fee of $15, then $5 per creditor per month, up to a maximum of $20 per month for the Debt Management Plan.  At your session, a certified counselor will analyze your personal financial information such as monthly income, expenses, and debt.  If your credit problems are severe and there is steady income, the counselor may set up a debt management plan for the orderly liquidation of debt; this option is a viable alternative to bankruptcy.

Our counselors can set up and manage debt repayment plans that can possibly reduce or stop interest payments, late fees, over limit fees, make your account current, and get you back on track.  This program serves the dual role of helping the client repay their debts and helping the creditors receive money owed them.

Since 2001, HCCI has partnered with CCCS of Greater Denver to provide software and fulfillment services to our agency.  Payments to your creditors as well as other items are actually processed in the CCCS of Greater Denver service center.  CCCS of Greater Denver has provided excellent service to our agency.

We are pleased to inform you that HCCI is expanding its partnership with CCCS of Greater Denver.  Effective May 1st, 2007 all aspects of your account will be serviced and managed by CCCS of Greater Denver. You are welcome to come to our office for follow-up appointments, of course, but the day to day details of your account will be handled by CCCS of Greater Denver. HCCI takes pride in continuing excellent personal customer service and local presence.

Effective May 1st, 2007 please call CCCS at 1-(800)-479-7117 for any questions or concerns regarding your account.  You may also reach the Denver Service Center by fax at 303-632-2103 or by email at ClientServices@CCCSDenver.com.  Your creditors may contact the Denver Service Center at 303-632-2227.  The Denver Service Center mailing address for payments and other correspondence is:

CCCS, PO Box 378050, Denver, CO 80237, or:

CCCS, 10065 E. Harvard, #210, Denver, CO 80231

You will enjoy several benefits with this operational change.  They include live customer service from 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Central time; Internet and automated phone account information is available 24 / 7; daily disbursement of your electronic funds to creditors and twice weekly paper remittances; multiple ACH withdrawal dates available; and 17 credit counselors available and standing by to assist you with your Debt Management Plan.  I think you’ll like the improvements these services offer you.

If you currently remit your payment to CCCS by ACH (automatic withdrawal from your bank account) or would like to, it is necessary that you complete a new ACH withdrawal form and submit it to the Denver Service Center as soon as possible.  The last withdrawal date by HCCI for ACH payments under the current arrangement will be April 16, 2007.

Until your new ACH form is received and processed by Denver, it is necessary that you remit all payments to Denver by money order or cashier’s check!!  The Denver office will notify you in writing of your first scheduled automatic withdrawal date!! You will not be able to bring/send DMP payments to the HCCI office, mail to the PO Box or drop off at Huntoon Dillon’s after April 30th, 2007 as the trust account in HCCI will be closed, leaving us no place to deposit your funds.
