HOPE (Helping Ourselves to Prosper Economically) is a Financial Stability Program for lower to middle-income level working families and individuals.

 

This program is limited to residents of Topeka Kansas.

Who Qualifies?

Working families who are paying more than 40% of their gross income for a mortgage or rent, plus utilities, and meet HUD's guidelines for lower to middle-income.To see income guidelines, click here.

 

HOPE is not a handout. We are looking for people who want to:

•  develop a personal budget that works
•  take realistic Action Steps
•  pay their bills on time
•  save for rainy day emergency
•  save for future plans

The HOPE Program offers the following services to individuals or families who qualify for the HOPE program:

FREE review of finances, including a review of your credit report and creation of a spending plan
FREE mentor to work with each individual or family for up to 12 months
FREE legal services through Kansas Legal Services, Inc.
